RE-CERTIFICATION

Re-certification

Finding a simple path to health.

Medicaid coverage is limited to a 12-month term. The renewal process should begin three to four months before the expected renewal date. As a consumer, you must keep track of your Medicaid renewal to minimize delays caused by fair hearings or, more importantly, coverage discontinuation.

The process starts with the receipt of the renewal packet in the mail. If you did not receive the renewal packet, you need to go to the ACCESS HRA Website and set up an account. You need to download the form and print it.

You must be precise when filling out the form. You must include all household members’ earnings. Any changes in income as well as significant expenses such as rent should be stated. If you have a Pooled Income Trust, you must additionally include the Verification of Deposits. Other necessary supporting documents should be attached.

After sending the renewal form you need to check the status of your application.

Yes, the process of re-certification can be intimidating, but we’ve got you covered. We’ll help you through the process so you can enjoy the benefits of re-certification without having to sweat the small stuff.
